Pair of Vintage Mdina Glass Hand Blown Decanters Malta circa 1970

A pair of vintage hand blown Mdina glass decanters each with a hand blown spherical stopper from Malta  circa 1970 featuring an intense shade of turquoise color and a signature on the base of each bottle. These unique pieces of glass were created by Michael Harris who opened the first glass factory in the town of Mdina in 1968. He combined the sensibility of the sea, sky and sand into the intensely iridescent colours for which Mdina glass is justly famous. These bottles and stoppers have the customary variations indicative of hand made pieces as well as a brilliant variation in the actual colours.
