Vintage Copper Vase Double Bowl Shape Edwardian England circa 1910

An unusual and tall antique English copper vase with a double bowl shape from Edwardian England circa 1910. The curious repetition of the shaped bowl gives this English copper vessel its decided allure. Both the upper and lower rims feature a rolled edge that perfectly finishes the lovely cascade of smaller sections that meet in the centre. There are a pair of large brass handles attached by rivets on opposite sides of the upper edge of the vessel that give it visual weight and interest by providing both a material and colour and shape contrast. This vessel was originally in the kitchen of a large country house in Oxfordshire where it sat on a large work table and was filled with various fruits as they came into season. Now it may easily serve the same purpose and be filled with an assortment of objects, either edible or non-edible, or used as a wonderful accessory in the middle of a room as the copper vessel is entirely finished on all sides.
