This simple George III period antique English oak drop leaf gate leg table circa 1780 remains as handsome and functional as when first created in the late eighteenth century. Each of thr four legs has a slender tapered profile with one leg on each side moving like a gate to support a raised table leaf. Because the legs move freely there is ample space to accommodate four to six persons for ameals or a game or other activity. Please enlarge all of the photographs to see the details in closeup. The dimensions listed are with two leaves down. When fully open the table measures 59" x 42".
