An antique English George III style pale oak corner chair circa 1895 featuring exuberant carved details which include two pairs of entwined sea serpents. The front leg has a substantial Chippendale designed appearance and the carved leaf details on the overall chair were extremely popular during the late 19th centuy. In addition to being a comfortable alternative to the seating in a room this chair possesses a bold sculptural quality. The seat frame actually lifts out of the chair and may be easily reulpolstered.
