A stylish antique English Elizabethan style oak table desk writing table circa 1895 having two drawers. The bold end supports have the distinctive cup and cover turning invented during the Elizabethan period in England and are joined by a flat stretcher. Above the turnings is a wide deeply carved panel of flourishes. Both drawer fronts have a beaded edge and brass escutcheons. Now ready to be waxed and polished or bleached and painted, as we found the table in this condition. We are happy to recommend a skilled finisher if you prefer someone else to do the work.
