Antique English Queen Anne Burl Walnut Table circa 1910

A Queen Anne style burl walnut table from the English Edwardian period circa 1910. Please notice the pleasing configuration of the two drawers on the left and right flanking the centre drawer that has a bowed front. The four legs are of cabriole form each with a scallop shell carved on the knee and resting on a pad foot with a cushion base. The burl walnut has a luminous caramel colouration with a rich patina. The brass hardware is a drop handle with a shaped and pierced backplate. The contrast between the rectangular top and the curved base and legs is particularly handsome. This table has a timeless quality to it because of its beautiful proportions.
