Antique French Painted Pine Louis Philippe Table circa 1850

The elegant slender legs of this antique French painted table from the Louis Philippe period circa 1850 give it lasting appeal. All four legs have a handsome turned profile combining both ring turning and shaped vase turning to emphasize the circular shape. Please notice how the legs extend from the floor to support the board top in one continuous length of timber. The apron contains one drawer set slightly off centre while the pegged construction of the table is entirely visible at the top of each leg. As the table is finished on all sides it may be seen from every direction and used as a small writing table desk as well as a side table. The drawer has its original turned wooden knob and opens fully for storage.
