Please look at the benevolent expression on the face of the figure as well as the elegantly simple folds of the wrapped robes that enclose the figure. The serenity of the piece as well as the fact that it is finished on all sides indicate its use in a home setting for purposes of reflection and devotion. Please notice the red wax seal on the reverse of the figure as it signifies the approval of the Chinese government for both age and export out of the country.
