Including a covered pot, covered sugar and a cream jug along with six cups and matching saucers this elegant collection of fine early nineteenth century porcelain attests to the sheer power of sharing a hot beverage with close friends and family. The stunning green color is highlighted with gold accents while each piece showcases delicately hand painted scenes. Castles et amidst an open landscape set with trees and rivers with birds overhead are a motif and indicates the aristocratic desire for a simple rural life. Please notice how each cup is embellished with a hand painted scene facing away from the drinker in order to let the person facing enjoy the gleam and charm of the hand applied decoration. What a treat to enjoy! The largest pot dimensions are listed. The cream jug is 4.5" wide x 3" deep x 7" high. The covered sugar measures 4.5" diameter x 7.5" high.
