Vintage French Louis XV Style Cherry Drawleaf Dining Table circa 1920

A Louis XV style vintage French cherrywood draw leaf table circa 1920. This elegant French dining breakfast table has beautiful cabriole legs featuring hand carved details emphasizing its French flourish. Easy to seat six persons when closed this table also has a leaf at either end which pulls out to accommodate more diners to share a festive meal. Please enlarge the photographs to see the details on this table that make it desirable to live with every day. The apron features a carved scallop shell on each of the four sides while the legs have a deeply incised groove along each edge that emphasizes the curved profile. The top of the table has elegant parquetry inlay in a chevron pattern both in the main top and both leaves. When both leaves are fully extended the table measures 90 1/2" long. The height from the floor to the underside of the apron is 25 1/2" giving wonderful comfort when seated.
