Vintage German Chrome and Glass Table Lamp by Richard Essig, Germany circa 1970

The combination of the glass with its raised profile against the smooth reflective coolness of the chrome gives this vintage German lamp from Germany circa 1970 its intriguing appearance. Both the base and the cylinders of glass are circular in shape with the upper and lower sections of the glass sheath divided into two parts by a circular collar of chrome. The great height of the lamp base has been accentuated by the addition of a custom linen shade in a coal dust color. The lamp has been rewired for American electricity and fitted with a socket for a standard base three way bulb.
