An Art Deco period ebonized wood table with shelves covered in vellum and nail head trim from France c.1930. Please notice the unusual shape of both upper and the lower shelf and the unique combination of the materials combined in this table. It was always meant to be seen from any direction as it is finished on all four sides. The stark contrast between the deep black colour of the legs with their gilded accents and the white of the parchment is quite enchanting and the addition of the nail heads gives an extra layer of visual interest. The table retains the original brass casters on each of the four legs that give the table extra versatility.
